The Story of Arturo Fuente

Founded in 1912 by Cuban immigrant Arturo Fuente Sr., the brand began as a small family-owned factory in West Tampa, Florida. Tragedy struck in 1924 when a fire destroyed the factory, forcing a 22-year pause in production.

In 1946, the family revived the business with a deep commitment to quality and tradition. Under the leadership of Carlos Fuente Sr., and later his son Carlito Fuente, the company navigated challenges like the Cuban embargo and political instability in Central America.

By the early 1980s, Arturo Fuente had found its new home in the Dominican Republic, where the Fuente family built their own farms and factory. This move allowed them to control every step of production — from seed to cigar — ensuring unmatched consistency and craftsmanship.

Today, four generations later, Arturo Fuente stands as one of the world’s most respected cigar makers. Their commitment to tradition, innovation, and excellence has made their cigars a symbol of luxury and legacy across the globe.
