Casa DR Exclusivo event concluded with extraordinary success at the Mondrian Doha, offering an atmosphere of unparalleled creativity and sophistication. Organized by Casa DR in coordination with the Dominican Embassy represented by  H.E. Georges Bahsa Hazim, Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to Qatar.

 The event also welcomed prominent guests from a wide array of countries, including the Dominican Republic, Russia, Cuba, Egypt, Kuwait, Argentina, Panama, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela, Uruguay, Paraguay, Guatemala, El Salvador, Guyana, Haiti, Azerbaijan, Finland, Morocco, Romania, Belgium, Italy, the United Kingdom, Angola, the UAE, and Rwanda. This diverse and esteemed attendance emphasized the event’s global stature and its role in strengthening cultural and commercial ties.

The event brought together legendary Dominican cigar manufacturers who showcased their finest hand-rolled creations. Renowned brands such as Sans Pareil, La Aurora, La Galera, Saga, Freud, Arturo Fuente, and La Flor Dominicana captivated the audience with their exceptional offerings.

  The festivities culminated on November 21 with a reception celebrating the grand opening of “ Casa DR, “ the House of Dominican Cigars” at the iconic Sheraton Doha. This first-of-its-kind boutique in Qatar promises a premium experience for cigar aficionados, blending Dominican heritage with exclusive handcrafted products. 

 As a symbolic gesture, H.E. Georges Bahsa Hazim presented a rare, collectible Dominican cigar to mark the occasion, highlighting the enduring friendship between Qatar and the Dominican Republic and celebrating the Dominican Republic’s legacy of cigar excellence.

An Annual Celebration of Cultural Ties

The organizers announced that Casa DR Exclusivo will now be an annual tradition in Qatar’s cultural calendar. Each edition will feature new highlights and surprises, further enriching the event’s appeal.

 "Al Majlis": A Qatar-Exclusive Edition by La Galera

As a tribute to this special collaboration, La Galera launched a Qatar-exclusive cigar named “Al Majlis” during the event. This bespoke edition symbolizes the strong cultural and commercial bond between Qatar and the Dominican Republic.
